Re-explore of the Ethiopian coffee once again
Ethiopia Coffee, it's one of the favorite coffee origin for most of the specialty coffee lovers as the flavour prolife are perfectly complex and incredibly fragrant.
Introducing Local Landraces & JARC 74 selections, a variety of coffee species from Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Haru Suke. A nearly forgotten species due to the relatively low awareness of formal variety names outside Ethiopia, Ethiopia’s Jimma Agricultural Resarch Centre (JARC) varieties which form in 1960 a catchall terminology which often masks the wide assortment of varieties that may be present within various regions…even, within farms. Many of these varieties will have been developed by them, has worked to develop resistant and tasty varieties for the Ethiopian coffee industry and also to provide the agricultural extension training needed to cultivate them.
It has been rediscover by a new book issued by Counter Culture Coffee in the USA (2018/19).
JARC 74 selection has been develop and cultivate in 1974 by the group. In this variety, most farmers have a mix of both the improved and the indigenous landrace varieties (inherited from parents and grandparents) on their farms.
This time, our selection of this species coffee originated from the Yigracheffe, Haru Suke G1 which is located at Southern Nations of Ethiopia and region call Gedeo.
